Matt is a founding partner of Thompson Davis & Co. and serves as a portfolio manager at the firm. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an analyst at two hedge funds: Ashford Capital in Wilmington, Delaware, and Lewis Asset Management in New York City.

A graduate of Sarasota’s Cardinal Mooney High School and Southern Methodist University, Matt began investing in middle school. He has focused on small-cap companies since he began his career at Richmond’s Branch Cabell & Co.

Matt and his wife live in Sarasota, Florida, with their three sons.
