Our Story

The origins of TD&Co. date back to the late 1980s at Branch Cabell & Co., when Hunter Thompson Jr. formed its institutional research group, which included Bill Davis. This research group based its investment strategy on a methodology for uncovering companies meeting certain characteristics that were common with above-average stock performance.

In July 2002, Hunter Thompson and Bill Davis teamed up to form TD&Co. as an independent investment advisory firm focused on providing clients with an investment strategy based on its unique and comprehensive research. This research methodology has helped to produce consistent and meaningful performance over the long run.

TD&Co. is pleased to celebrate its 20th anniversary as a 100% employee-owned business and looks forward to serving current and future clients for many years to come.
